Ann Arbor Book Festival & Writer’s Conference on June 20

book-fest-logo5-e1433528837354In addition to a Book Crawl that runs June 17-20 in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, this year’s Ann Arbor Book Festival Street Fair is Saturday June 20 from 1:30 pm – 6 pm on Washington Street between 4th Ave. and 5th Ave.  Lots of interesting talks, booths filled with books and Babo food truck. I’m especially interested in the 2 pm talk and book signing at Aunt Agatha’s Mysteries by crime author Michael Harvey to read from his new book, The Governor’s Wife.

You might also be interested in the Writer’s Conference also on Saturday June 20 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library. The fee is $100 and includes a catered lunch with keynote talk by author Rachel DeWoskin.  AABF describes the conference thus:

There are three workshop sessions during the conference, each an hour in length. Attendees will be able to choose from 3 or 4 instructors per workshop session, so it is possible to tailor the conference to your needs as a writer.
